Galvanized pipe, also known as galvanized steel pipe, is a specially treated steel pipe. Its core feature is that its surface is covered with a uniform layer of zinc metal coating. Manufacturing process
The manufacturing of galvanized pipe mainly includes the following steps:
Steel cutting: Cut the steel into the required length.
Steel pipe pretreatment: Clean the surface of the steel pipe to remove impurities such as grease and rust.
Acid pickling: Soak the steel pipe in acidic liquid to remove the oxide layer, rust and corrosion on the surface.
Galvanizing treatment:
Hot-dip galvanizing: The steel pipe is immersed in the galvanizing liquid after high temperature heating to form a thick zinc layer with excellent anti-corrosion performance and durability.
Electrogalvanizing: The steel pipe is used as the cathode to deposit a thin zinc layer on the surface through electrolysis, which has good anti-corrosion performance and decorative properties.
Inspection and warehousing: After galvanizing, the steel pipe is inspected for quality and qualified steel pipes are put into storage.
Types
Galvanized pipes are mainly divided into two types:
Hot-dip galvanized pipe: thick coating, uniform coating, strong adhesion and long service life.
Electrogalvanized pipe: The coating is thinner, but it also has good anti-corrosion and decorative properties.
Features
Anti-corrosion performance: The presence of the zinc layer isolates the steel pipe from the outside world, effectively preventing oxidation and corrosion of the steel pipe.
Durability: Even in harsh environments such as humidity, high temperature, and low temperature, the galvanized pipe can maintain its original performance and appearance.
